Domingos Caetano, musician from Olhão and vocalist of the band ÍRIS, will sing songs by Zeca Afonso on April 21st, at 21 pm, in the Municipal Auditorium of Olhão.
The singer was born in Fuzeta in 1956 and started playing at the age of 20, after his brother offered him a guitar.
Later, he attended the Algarve Regional Conservatory, taking a course in Piano, Acoustics and Music Education.
He taught Music Education in Loulé and Vila Real de Santo António for some years.
In 1979, he formed ÍRIS, a band that rose to stardom with themes such as “Vão Dar Banhó Cão”, “There's Always a Tomorrow”, “Oh, Mother” or “Isolados do Mundo”.
Despite continuing as the vocalist of the band ÍRIS, he has embraced many other projects, such as this “Domingos Caetano Canta Zeca Afonso”.
