Nuno Marques, an archivist at the Vila do Bispo Chamber, gave, from February 21st to 23rd, a training action on the computer application “AtoM”, in the city of Praia, Santiago Island, Cape Verde.
The invitation came from the National Archives of Cape Verde (ANCV) and included the participation of archivists and technicians from this institution, as well as people linked to the Bank of Cape Verde, the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Institute of the Cultural Heritage.
The action, in partnership with the Albufeira Historical Archive, aimed to «provide trainees with knowledge of the IT management tools necessary for the organization of the existing documentary heritage at the ANCV, proving to be very important and useful for the Cape Verdean institution». considers the Chamber of Vila do Bispo.
