The University of Free Time (UTL) of Castro Marim will prepare the 2016/2017 academic year with a meeting, to be held next Wednesday, November 2, at 15:00, at the Castro Marim Municipal Library.
As in previous years, the objective of the executive led by Francisco Amaral «is to continue the socio-educational offer that has been made available to the population, as well as continuing to respond to the expectations of citizens in the various selected areas».
In this sense, in the last academic year, the Castro Marim Chamber made an investment of around 30 thousand euros in UTL, with the collaboration of Associação Odiana. The Municipality's intention is to "continue this cooperation".
In the last academic year, approximately 180 people participated in UTL courses in the areas of arraiolos, decorative arts, medieval atelier, embroidery, initiation to sewing/trapology, physical activity and information technology.
The courses were held in 10 locations in the municipality: Altura, S. Bartolomeu, Rio Seco, Castro Marim, Monte Francisco, Junqueira, Azinhal, Alta Mora, Corte Pequena and Furnazinhas.
