The EM520 road, which connects Falfosa to Santa Bárbara de Nexe, will be repaved as part of the “Faro Requalify”. The contract for the execution of the work was signed yesterday and provides for the repaving and leveling of the section, the arrangement of the berms and the implementation of horizontal and vertical signage.
According to the Chamber of Faro, the aim of the work is to «improve the safety and comfort conditions of the connection on that road, which had not received any improvement for over ten years».
The contract, which the municipality says is «one of the most significant of the program», was awarded to “Candeias & Silva Lda.” for around 120 thousand euros plus VAT.
The intervention, whose investment is in the entirety of the city council, «comes to respond to old demands of the population of the parish of Santa Bárbara de Nexe, improving access to the various locations in the parish».
