solar_kitchenTwo solar cooking meetings are scheduled for the mornings of July 17th and 18th, in the space in front of the Superior Institute of Engineering of the University of Algarve, on Campus da Penha, in Faro, as always in an organization of Professor Celestino Ruivo.

The meetings, which start at 9:15 am, include explanations and demonstration of the construction of a solar kitchen, and end with a shared solar lunch.

Celestino Ruivo promises that «the program will include some “solar surprises”, depending on the weather conditions of the day».

Given the number of editions of the solar kitchen meeting already held and the number of users of the solar kitchen, the organizer launches an invitation «to all those who have a solar oven to participate in the meeting, bringing with them one or more solar ovens and ingredients to cook one or more recipes for a main course or for dessert'.

“The idea is to bring together several solar cuisine enthusiasts and provide a healthy moment during the shared lunch after the meeting”, explains Celestino Ruivo.

Hence, this professor from the University of Algarve, who has been the great promoter of solar ovens in the region, asks everyone interested to tell him «the type of oven they will bring and the respective recipe, so that we can organize a shared solar lunch and varied».
