domestic violenceGender equality and life stories “hidden behind the numbers of domestic violence” are the theme of the Tertúlia São Brasense de Março, which takes place today, Friday, at 21 pm, in the bar of the Cineteatro São Brás.

The population is challenged to show up, either to listen or to contribute with experiences and life stories, «so that this theme does not stay between four walls».

“It is necessary to give voice and reflect on domestic violence, the numbers are frightening and raise countless questions… is the crisis causing this increase in cases? or will it be rather a crisis of values…», questions the São Brasense autarchy, which organizes the initiative through its Municipal Psychology Service.

This conversation will form part of the Women's Month activity program, launched by the City Council of São Brás de Alportel. In the same scope, two more gatherings will be held "with and about women".

On March 26, «Algarve Women's Bussines Net Work» will promote the meeting of entrepreneurs «Women in Business: What is being different?», at 18 pm, in the room of União Desportiva e Recreativa Sambrasense.

On the 28th, the conference "Women with History" will be promoted, which aims to honor the Women of the Municipality's Centenary. The conversation will take place from 16 pm at the Museu do Trajo and will feature the special participation of Maria Manuela Sousa Fernandes, daughter of the first director of Sanatório Vasconcelos Porto, doctor Alberto de Sousa.
