The Maria Veleda Prize, instituted this year for the first time by the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve to highlight and recognize the cultural activity of Algarve personalities, protagonists of particularly relevant and innovative interventions in the region, was delivered on Saturday to Margarida Tengarrinha, in emotional ceremony that took place in the Great Auditorium of the Municipal Theater of Portimão.
Just before the ceremony, the Sul Informação and Rádio Universitária do Algarve (RUA FM) interviewed Margarida Tengarrinha. It was a conversation for over an hour, about the meaning of the Maria Veleda Prize, but, above all, about a full 86-year life.
