The story of the new children's book “O Senhor Empreendedorismo” will be told to children in the municipality of Albufeira, on the next 11th and 12th of April, with the aim of awakening entrepreneurial skills in the youngest.

Narciso Moreira, author of the work, will streamline the presentation sessions, exploring in a fun and educational way some issues associated with entrepreneurship.

The sessions will take place in Albufeira, Ferreiras, Guia and Olhos de Água and are aimed at students in the 4th year of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education.

On April 11, at 18:00 pm, the author will make a public presentation of the book, at Lídia Jorge Municipal Library, to all interested parties (students, teachers, educators, parents, guardians, etc.).

“O Senhor Empreendedorismo” intends to be a pedagogical tool that explains, in a simple and playful way, entrepreneurship to children.

Enriched by illustrations that reflect the joy of dialogue, the book presents as a backdrop a contrasting environment between the city and the countryside, similar to many Portuguese cities.

Throughout the work, children come into contact with some relevant concepts that are demystified and, little by little, become part of their vocabulary.

“Because not all stories are for sleeping, this is a story for Em…preender!”, describes the author.

The book has a preface by António Câmara, professor and researcher at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, who received the 2006 Pessoa Award.

In 2010, Narciso Moreira completed a Master's in Education – Training, Work and Human Resources at the University of Minho and was part of the Institutional Research Project team “Education for Entrepreneurship in Portugal in Basic and Secondary Education” carried out by the same University, between 2007 and 2010.

He is currently project director at Betweien, Lda. and researcher in the area of Education for Entrepreneurship at the University of Minho, coordinating since 2008 the implementation of dozens of intervention projects in Local Entrepreneurship and Education for Entrepreneurship across the country.

This is another initiative of the AGE- Albufeira Entrepreneurship Office, this time aimed at the school-age public.
