The PSD of Portimão expressed today, in a statement, its indignation at the participation "in a prominent place" of the mayor and other members of the executive in the "discontent manifestation, held in Portimão last Saturday".

«It is a case of saying, there is no more shame! The situation in the country is very serious, due to these gentlemen, who have been spending what they could not, “say the social democrats from Portimo.

In a communiqué signed by the president of the PSD council, the social democrats addressed several questions to the president of the council, of the PS: «Who has indebted the municipality at unaffordable levels? Who allows consecutive monthly deficits in millions of euros? Who has been practicing budget fraud for years? Who received community funds and didn't pay who they owed? Who is improperly embezzling money from the EMARP municipal company? Who permanently forces creditors to go to court to see if they can collect their debts? Who promised what he couldn't fulfill?».

Pedro Castelo Xavier even remembers some of these promises: Cinema City, Insectário, Aquarium, Cable Car, Airport, New Cemetery and Center for Advanced Studies in Tourism.

“It would be good for Dr. Manuel da Luz to make an act of contrition to the citizens of the municipality of Portimão and say: I am to blame; It is the Socialist Party that is responsible,” adds the PSD statement.

Referring to the measures taken by the Government of Passos Coelho, the Municipality of Portimonense says that “the PSD is only remedying the evils caused by others. That is why it must be understood and supported».

Interestingly, people linked to the PSD, such as the Sul Informação found on the ground.
