The biggest dinosaur exhibition in Europe will be on display from July 11 at Portimão Arena, offering families a fascinating alternative to spend their free time.

Open daily from 17:00 pm to 24:00 am until September 9, “The World of Dinosaurs” is a playful exhibition that also includes a didactic character, where you can see, up close, the great reptiles of the “Jurassic Park”, such as the fearsome Velociraptors , Oviraptor and T-Rex, or other more friendly and huge animals, such as Brachiosaurus.

A unique journey is proposed through forests, woods and deserts, which will transport the imagination of visitors to thousands of years ago, when these magnificent beings dominated the planet earth, with full-scale figures present, some of which reacted with movement and sound to the presence of people, which will make the visit more dynamic, interactive and surprising for its realism.

The exhibition includes six distinct areas: the Cinema Studio, where a short documentary about the life and extinction of dinosaurs will be screened, and from there, a return to the past will be made.

Another space is the Fossil Gallery, after passing through a paleontological excavation scene and a laboratory, the visitor will be able to see hundreds of representative pieces of bones, teeth, claws and many other elements such as three complete dinosaur skeletons, including a 10 meter skeleton of a Yangchuanosaurus.

In the Dinosaur Exhibition, with scenarios that recreate forests, deserts, river banks, waterfalls and dense vegetation areas, the elements are combined and the senses are awakened.

Then there is a Paleontology Workshop / Espaço Criança, towards the end, where visitors are invited to act as paleontologists and discover the bones of some specimens, while the children can let their imaginations run free.

The Store, at the end of the exhibition, provides the opportunity to purchase a souvenir of this fantastic visit, continuing at home and at school to play and learn the history of the planet with dinosaurs.

The ticket price is 7 euros for adults, 5 euros for children aged 3 to 11 years old, 20 euros for the family (two adults + three children up to 11 years old), or 4 euros for educational establishments (minimum of 15 students), and for 2 euros those interested can watch a short 3D cinema session, extra-exhibition.

The organization belongs to PA Leading and Between Planets, and a special schools service line has been created for greater ease and convenience in advance bookings at educational establishments: telephone 214 217 205 or email [email protected].
