The outgoing Government approved the promotion of 2.374 PSP police officers, the largest number in the agent category, the Ministry of Internal Administration (MAI) indicated today.
In a statement, the MAI explains that these promotions to immediate rank cover 204 officers, 900 chiefs and 1.270 agents.
The MAI justifies these promotions as being “necessary to fill posts and positions by police officers with the rank that legally corresponds to them depending on their respective degree of responsibility and associated skills”.
According to MAI, promotions are accompanied by appropriate remuneration effects.
These promotions take place annually in the security forces and also this month of March the MAI authorized the promotion of 1.800 soldiers from the Republican National Guard.
