The Government authorized the promotion to immediate rank of 1.850 soldiers in the Republican National Guard (GNR), the Ministry of Internal Administration announced today.
The decision by the Ministries of the Presidency, Internal Administration and Finance covers a total of 250 officers (from ensign to colonel), 280 sergeants (from first sergeant to sergeant major) and 1.320 guards (from guard to corporal).
Promotions, «which are accompanied by due remuneration effects, are necessary to fill posts and positions by military personnel with the rank that legally corresponds to them depending on their respective degree of responsibility and associated skills», highlights the MAI in the note sent to newsrooms .
