Lagoa City Council will contribute around 3 million euros to the construction of a Residential Structure for the Elderly next to the Fazenda Grande Urbanization, in Mexilhoeira da Carregação, a project by the Cultural and Social Center of Quinta de S. Pedro (ADR) that will respond to 70 users, in its home component.
The municipality will guarantee half of the total value of the project, which will cost 6 million euros, “as well as the value of safety and health”. The remaining 50% will be guaranteed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
«This new Residential Structure for the Elderly will be prepared to receive 70 users, but will also have the social response of Home Support Service prepared to support 60 users, in the area of the Union of Parishes of Estômbar and Parchal. The construction of this new structure meets a need that has been identified for a long time, in terms of social responses, for our seniors,», according to the Câmara de Lagoa.
This new structure will be built next to the Fazenda Grande Urbanization, in Mexilhoeira da Carregação, on a 4.455 square meter plot of land provided by the Municipality of Lagoa.
