12 athletes from the Alentejo and Algarve Skating Association participate in the “Inter-regions”

Benjamin, children, beginners, cadet, youth, junior and senior groups will compete in the tournament.

A delegation of 12 athletes from the Alentejo and Algarve Skating Association (APAA) will participate in the “Inter-regions 2023” tournament in Figure Skating, on the 9th and 10th of December, at the Pavilhão Multiusos de Odivelas. 

Laura Cláudio, Mariana Faria, Mariana Pinheiro, Pilar Janeiro, Joana Almodôvar, Maria Pinheiro, Mafalda Almodôvar, Guilherme Soudo, Petra Cabrita, Daniela Farias, Beatriz Hortense, José Calhau are the 12 APAA athletes present at “Inter-Regões 2023” and who will compete in the Benjamin, Children's, Beginner, Cadet, Youth, Junior and Senior categories.

The tournament will feature more than a hundred athletes who will bring to life a spectacle of “dexterity and elegance”, promising to captivate the attention of more than a thousand spectators.

«Inter-Regões 2023 is a unique opportunity for figure skating lovers to witness the exceptional talent of these young athletes, while celebrating their sporting spirit and dedication to the sport», says Luís Nascimento, president of the Lisbon Skating Association.

In the tournament, several clubs from the Algarve will be represented, such as Clube de Patinagem e Associação Recreativa Patinagem de Albufeira, Grupo Desportivo e Recreativo Canaviais, Figure Skating Club of Cuba, Clube de Patinagem de Beja, Patinagem Clube de Tavira, Real Amizade Farense and Futebol Castrense Club.

In addition to APAA representatives, the tournament will bring together athletes from Aveiro, Coimbra, Lisbon, Leiria, Madeira, Minho, Porto, Ribatejo, São Miguel and Setúbal.

«We have teams from all over the country, and we invite everyone who loves figure skating to join us on this exciting weekend. Entry is free, and everyone's presence will be essential to support and inspire these talented skaters», reinforces the president.

 The event is an initiative of the Portuguese Skating Federation, organized by the Lisbon Skating Association and the Academia Patinagem de Odivelas, with the support of the Odivelas City Council.
