The GNR and PSP Social Services provide 26 accommodations for students who are children of professionals from these two security forces, in the city of Faro, 13 male and 13 female, revealed to the Sul Informação the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
«Accommodation is made available under more favorable cost conditions than those practiced by the market and deepens the support conditions for the families of security force professionals», announced that Ministry.
Besides Faro, GNR Social Services provide accommodation in the cities of Braga, Bragança, Coimbra, Évora, Lisbon and Porto.
As for PSP Social Services, this happens in Aveiro, Coimbra, Évora, Lisbon, Portalegre, Porto and Viseu.
In total, there are 550 vacancies made available in the 2023/2024 academic year by the GNR and PSP Social Services, in different parts of the national territory, but all of them have already been filled.
According to the Ministry of Internal Administration, «this offer of accommodation constitutes support from the Social Services of the Republican National Guard and the Public Security Police to the families of its members».
