Carlota Silva, a Portuguese-Angolan swimmer from Portinado, participated, last weekend, in the National Championships of Angola, which took place in the pools of Alvalade, in Luanda, having won three absolute national titles in the 100 butterfly events (1:08.67) , 50 freestyle (28.50) and 50 butterfly (30.63), records that are also new records for Angola in the youth category.

The excellent participation of the Portimonian swimmer was very well received by the officials of the Angolan Swimming Federation, who have already confirmed their presence in the Junior World Championship, which will take place in Israel at the beginning of September.

As a balance of their participation, it is an «extraordinary personal and sporting experience», stresses Portinado.

“I really enjoyed getting to know new realities and seeing swimming in Angola. I felt very well supported by my competition colleagues, by their coaches and by all the Angolan people”, says the athlete.
