Câmara de Portimão reduces the value of “Vai e Vem” passes by 20%

Each individual ticket will also be valid for one hour, which will allow users to transfer between vehicles

Portimão City Hall reduced the value of Vai&Vem passes, the municipality's urban transport, by 20%. The discount takes effect in September.

In addition to the discount to be applied to all types of monthly passes currently in force at Vai&Vem (Normal Pass, Elderly Pass >65 years, Reduced Mobility Pass, 4_18 Pass and Sub_23 Pass), each individual ticket is now valid for one hour, which will allow users to transfer between vehicles.

O Program to Support the Reduction of Public Transport Tariffs (PART), which the Portimão City Council joined, It is aimed at reducing fares in collective public transport and increasing the offer of services.

This nationwide program aims to attract passengers to public transport, supporting transport authorities with an annual budget, which will allow them to adjust tariffs and offers.

In assuming its powers as a transport authority, and after approval by the Municipal Assembly on the 21st of July, the Municipality of Portimão will sign an inter-administrative contract with CIM-AMAL (Comunidade Intermunicipal do Algarve), since it is incumbent upon this regional body to distribute appropriations among the transport authorities existing in its territorial space.
