Registration for the Handsome Festival, the first Creative Tourism festival organized in the Algarve, which runs from the 21st to the 24th of July, has already opened.
Seats for the general public to participate in the Festival's workshops are limited and free of charge, requiring registration at the event website.
The Festival challenges the public to get their “hands on” and actively contact the region's cultural heritage, through craft workshops, gastronomic experiences, among other events.
In addition to workshops in artisans' ateliers and gastronomic experiences in restaurants, farms, wine cellars and confectioneries, the program includes an afternoon of workshops open to the public taking place at the Museu Regional de Faro, conversations and presentations on creative tourism, networking between industry professionals and an exhibition of design and handicraft pieces.
The Handsome Festival is organized by QRER – Cooperative for the Development of Low Density Territories within the scope of the Algarve Craft & Food project, in partnership with the Algarve Tourism Region and Tertúlia Algarvia – Center for Knowledge in Culture and Traditional Food in the Algarve, and also has the support of the aspiring Geopark Algarvensis.
