FEITUR returns to Vila Nova de Milfontes from the 9th to the 11th of June

One of the highlights of FEITUR is the gastronomic component

Activities in nature, gastronomy, culture, sports and entertainment are the strengths of FEITUR – SW Tourism Fair, scheduled for the 9th, 10th and 11th of June, next to the Mira River Estuary, in Vila Nova de Milfontes.

FEITUR is committed to promoting the municipality of Odemira and the Southwest Alentejo as a privileged destination for active and nature tourism and is promoted in partnership between the Municipality of Odemira and the Regional Tourism Entity of Alentejo and Ribatejo.

The event will be attended by accommodation units and tourist entertainment companies, restaurants, exhibition of agri-food products, local handicrafts, gastronomic tastings and lots of entertainment.

Over the three days, visitors are invited to enjoy the best that the municipality of Odemira has to offer, with the “Mira Experiences”, free activities that will allow baptism or contact with various modalities, or to pay for those who have availability to enjoy activities with greater intensity.

The program includes boat trips on the Mira River, stand up paddle, kayaking, surfing, scuba diving, canoeing, donkey and pony rides, hiking, jiu-jitsu, zumba, pilates, tennis and beach soccer, inflatables, bungee and trampolines.

 

 

One of the highlights of FEITUR is the gastronomic component that will be highlighted in the Showcooking Space, with the showcookings “Handmade Ice Cream” by Chef João Mabi, “O Chef Sou Eu” by the Tic-Tac Association, “From the Sea to the Plate – The revolution das Algae” by Vanessa Andrade, from the Professional School of Odemira, Casa do Lagar and the restaurants “A Escola” from Alcácer do Sal, by Chef Henrique, and “Porto das Barcas”, presentation of “Fool” Gin and tasting of products Alma da Nossa Gente, as well as tasting liqueurs from Casa 7, wines from Adega Monte Branco and medronho cocktails by the Association for the Promotion of Medronho – Arbutus.

FEITUR will also be the stage for a moment of reflection with a colloquium alluding to the theme “Odemira: Cultural and Creative Tourism”, scheduled for the 9th of June, at 15.00 pm, at Colégio Nossa Senhora da Graça, with interventions by the Associação of artisans from the Municipality of Odemira – CACO, Associação Rota Vicentina, Loulé Criativo and Turismo de Portugal.

In musical animation and preceding FEITUR, the historic center of Vila Nova de Milfontes receives a street with Porbatuka.

Throughout the three days of the event, note the performances of Ruído à Portuguesa, the Choral Groups of Casa do Povo de Vila Nova de Milfontes and “As Moças da Vila”. The Sabores Stage hosts a performance by Grupo Origens and Dj Deelight (Friday), a performance by Groovin Train and Dj Pan Sorbe (Saturday) and a concert by Caminha Róla (Sunday).

There will be three intense days, with free admission, from 14 pm on Friday and from 00 am on Saturday and Sunday.
