The documentary exhibition “Archives, Memories and Institutions: Family, State and Church” will be available from today, the 5th, until the 9th of June, at the Álvaro de Campos Municipal Library, in Tavira.
The initiative takes place within the framework of the celebrations of the International Archives Day (June 9).
«This year, the theme chosen by the International Council of Archives (ICA) is “United Archives”, this exhibition being a paradigm of this subject as it results from a unique collaborative work between the Municipal Archive of Tavira, the religious and family archives, namely, of the Brotherhood of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Tavira, of the Third Order of Nossa Senhora do Monte do Carmo de Tavira, of the Venerable Third Order of São Francisco de Tavira, of Gilberto Gonçalves Ferro, of José Alberto Costa Marques and of José Manuel Martins Ferreira Coelho », according to the City Council of Tavira.
