Ria Formosa Duathlon brought together 170 primary school students in Praia da Fuzeta

Test was held on the 27th of April

The 8th Ria Formosa Duathlon brought together, on the 27th of April, 170 primary school students at Praia da Fuzeta–Ria, in Olhão.

The test was organized by the Dr. Francisco Fernandes Lopes de Olhão and, in addition to primary school students, spread across different levels, there was a group of secondary school students who participated in sports activities and also helped teachers in coordinating the tests.

The organization involved teachers from the Physical Education group, head teachers of the first cycle, coordinating teachers of basic schools Dr. António João Eusebio and Dr. João Lúcio, the assistant professor of the director of the Grouping, the teachers responsible for the Sports Training Center for Canoeing and Surfing of the Grouping (and event supervisors), the students and the Professional Sports Technician Course and the Professional Multimedia Technician Course , the coordinating professor and the two female ambassadors of the Escola Azul AEFFL project and members of the non-teaching staff who gave valuable support to the safety and surveillance of students.

This year, the duathlon was supported by the Municipality of Olhão (authorization of the event and logistical support), by the Union of Parish Councils of Moncarapacho and Fuseta (in the acquisition of medals for the winning students), by the Maritime Police (in surveillance and on site security) and by the Borda d'Água restaurant (providing electricity and access to health services).

The final ceremony was also attended by Décio Viegas, Deputy Director of the Grouping, the councilor of Olhão City Council João Evaristo, the president of the Union of Parish Councils of Moncarapacho and Fuzeta Manuel Carlos, and the Captain of Porto and Local Commander of the Maritime Police of Olhão Commander Alexandre Silva Algarvio.
