224 athletes will take part this Sunday, April 30, in the 1st Cidade de Tavira MTB Marathon, a race in which «registrations exceed expectations», according to Clube de Vela de Tavira, responsible for the organization.
«The event has a total of 224 participants which, taking into account the holding of another competition on the same day and in which the athletes from the host club will not participate, allows the organization to think about a re-edition of the competition, reformulating and integrating some news», adds the CVT.
Comprising a 60 kilometer marathon and a 35 km half marathon, with a very fast route that is popular with mountain bike enthusiasts, the race will take place at the Parque de Feiras e Exposições de Tavira, with departures and arrivals scheduled for the same location.
