Project applies innovative methodology at Pinheiro e Rosa Secondary School

Balance of two years of the Explore+ project was made last week

The balance of what was, until now, the Explore+ project, which allowed developing, testing and systematizing activities in the Secondary Education classes of the Pinheiro e Rosa School Group, using the STEAM methodology, was made on the 10th.

Within the scope of this project, two activities have already been completed, namely the creation of a STEAM Activities Manual, «an integrated and project-based methodology, which through science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, aims to train students with different types of knowledge, develop values ​​along with the content addressed and prepare students and citizens for the challenges of the future», and an online course to present the activities in the manual.

In the Algarve, activities were supported by the Zer0 Museum as part of its cultural mediation work for Digital Art.

«These two pedagogical tools will be presented at the Arts and Sciences Fair, an activity to be presented shortly, within the framework of the 2023 Culture and Education Biennial – RETROVISOR: A History of the Future organized by the National Arts Plan», according to the Pinheiro e Rosa group.

This project will end with the organization of a final conference, to be held in Timisoara (Romania), European Capital of Culture 2023, on the 19th and 20th of May.

Explore+ – Creative explorations from curiosity to innovative transdisciplinarity, STEAM and social learning is funded by the Erasmus+ program – Partnerships for Creativity (KA227)

Em Faro, the partnership includes ES Pinheiro e Rosa and the Zer0 Museum, at the invitation of the structure dedicated to preparing the proposal for Faro the European Capital of Culture 2027 who join the international consortium that includes partners from Germany (coordination), Latvia and Romania.
