The coordinator of the Union of All Education Professionals (stop) believes that the Portuguese are in solidarity with the teachers' claims, pointing out that society is fed up with the increase in the cost of living and "a few who are left with many millions".

Several hundred people are concentrated at the top of Parque Eduardo VII, in Lisbon, waiting to be able to walk to the Assembly of the Republic, in a demonstration called by the stop, the fourth since December 2022.

“One, two, three, we're here again, four, five, six we're fed up with papers, seven, eight, nine, nobody can stop us” is the slogan that teachers and education professionals shout in Lisbon.

Speaking to journalists, the coordinator of the stop, André Pestana, said he believed that the Portuguese were in solidarity with the teachers' claims and pointed to the survey commissioned by the stop as proof, according to which the majority of respondents were in favor of recovering time total number of services, one of the teachers' claims.

The BE deputy Joana Mortágua was also on site, for whom, so far, the Government has not been able to meet any of the teachers' demands.

The demonstration started around 15 pm, followed slowly and was passing by the door of the prison in Lisbon.
