Capelas Route returns to Faro

This project has the support of the Regional Directorate for Culture of the Algarve, the Chamber of Faro and the parish of St. Peter

The Rota das Capelas, by Associação Cultural Música XXI, continues this Sunday, February 26, with visits, from 17 pm, to the Churches of Santo António dos Capuchos and S. Sebastião.

The presentation will be given by Marco Lopes, director of the Museums division of the Câmara de Faro, and by Jorge Manhita.

The cultural moments will be in charge of the interpreter Vera Rocha, in the Church of Santo António dos Capuchos, and, in the Church of S. Sebastião, of the F3 Group, composed by the flutists Eva Costa, Marta Rijo and Patrícia Martins.

The moments of poetry will be the responsibility of the actors António Gambóias and Ana Oliveira. Between the two religious spaces there will be a procession that will follow the trombonist Vera Rocha, guiding the public.

This project has the support of the Regional Directorate for Culture of the Algarve, the Chamber of Faro and the parish of S. Pedro.

The Rota das Capelas project aims to create an original animation script for four sacred spaces, unknown to the general public, which combines the historical description of the place with a quality cultural moment.

Rota das Capelas will end its journey in March, in the chapel of Santo António do Alto, with other stories to share and specific animations to enjoy.
