The Municipality of Portimão will once again be present at Nauticampo, through the Nautical Station, with the aim of promoting the offer of this tourist destination.
The 53rd edition of this event dedicated to nautical, camping and sports will take place at Feira Internacional de Lisboa between the 8th and 12th of February.
In addition to highlighting its qualities as a nautical destination, Portimão will present «one of the safest bars in the country», where port infrastructures are located, such as the only Naval Support Point of the Portuguese Navy on the south coast of the continent, which hosts the logistics base for the south of the equipment within the scope of the Clean Sea Plan to fight pollution, the Port of Portimão, a port infrastructure in the region that welcomes dozens of cruise ships and thousands of tourists every year, and nautical infrastructures such as the internationally awarded Marina of Portimão, with its 620 berths.
Highlights will also be the various activities and experiences on offer, as Portimão is also the departure point for the various programs offered by maritime tourism operators, namely the ascent of the Arade River to Silves, walks along the coast, visits to the caves , dolphin watching, sport fishing and boat charter.
Also in terms of diving, Portimão features the Ocean Revival, made up of four warships that form a large artificial reef and which has conditions for marine life, with the possibility of practicing various sports, such as rowing and canoeing, sailing and surfing.
At the same time, the municipality recalls that there is a wide range of services, products and companies to support recreational boating, the sale of boats, ship maintenance and repair yards, the sale of nautical, fishing, diving and various accessories.
for the practice of nautical sports, not forgetting training courses provided by certified companies and associations.
The Nautical Station is made up of a network of quality nautical tourism, organized based on the integrated enhancement of nautical resources present in a territory and its promotion, which includes the offer of accommodation, catering, nautical activities and other relevant activities and services. to attract tourists and other users, adding value and generating jobs in the respective regions.
