JSD/Olhão reactivated with Rúben Pires as president

«Bringing politics to young people and demystifying prejudices associated with party youth» is the objective of reactivating the structure

JSD/Olhão is back, with Rúben Pires being elected, on the 18th of February, as the new president.

The newly elected team is made up of Alexandra Graça, vice-president, Alexandre Mira, general secretary and Júlia Fonseca, president of the Board of the Plenary.

«Bringing politics to young people and demystifying prejudices associated with party youth» is the primary objective defined by the new president of JSD/Olhão.

«We consider it essential, at first, to guarantee the continuity and longevity of the structure, in order to ensure that we do not go through such an extended period of inactivity again. In order to achieve this goal, we immediately built a cohesive but diverse team, which includes young people who attend all education cycles, from basic education to university education, as well as others who are already in the job market», says Rúben Pires, who is a trainee lawyer.

«The themes of housing, strikes in basic and secondary education, access to higher education, among many others, will be areas for which we will present concrete proposals that aim to help all young people from Olhão and guarantee that they can have their problems solved», it works.
