A man and a woman who robbed a commercial establishment in Olhão and threatened the security guard with a knife were arrested by the PSP on Sunday, the 19th, in this city.
The woman entered a reserved area of the store without authorization and stole two cell phones belonging to employees, while the man stayed outside, keeping watch.
When the suspect was preparing to flee, she was approached by store security. "At this point, the suspect, who was waiting outside, threatened the security guard with a bladed weapon, thus managing to guarantee the escape of both", according to the PSP.
The two robbers were caught shortly afterwards, at the CP station in Olhão, "as they were preparing to leave the city". In addition to detaining the couple, the PSP managed to recover the two stolen cell phones and seize the knife that had been used.
The detainee will await trial in preventive detention, while the woman was subject to periodic presentations to the authorities.
