Algarve women's team (under-14) starts winning tournament in Lagos

The Algarve team will play again this Saturday, the 7th, against the Lisbon team, starting at 16 pm

The Algarve under-14 women's football team beat the Beja team by 2-0, this Friday, January 6, in the first game of the Zonal Phase of the Interassociations Tournament of the category that will take place at the Municipal Stadium in Lagos until Sunday .

A goal by Victoria Francisco allowed the Algarve team to go into the break in advantage, which was extended in the second half through an own goal following a shot by Luciana Varela.

Before the kick-off, two minutes of silence were observed in memory of Pelé – which also happened in the Algarve Super Cup match, on the 29th of December – and of the former Technical Coordinator of the Leiria Football Association, professor Paulo Ribeiro,

The event has the support of the Portuguese Football Federation, Vila Galé Hotels, Lagos City Council and Lagos Em Forma.

The Algarve team will play again this Saturday, the 7th, against the Lisbon team, starting at 16 pm.

For Sunday, the game between the selections of Beja and Lisbon is reserved, starting at 11:00 am.
