PSD advances with “Sentir Algarve” to “prepare local councils and opposition to socialist ineffectiveness”

Initiative undertakes to cover all municipalities in the region in six months

The initiative “Sentir Algarve”, by the PSD, starts next weekend with a set of meetings to be held with militants and supporters of the party across the region and aims to “prepare local authorities and develop opposition to socialist ineffectiveness”.

“Sentir Algarve” has its first stops on Saturday, the 28th, in Lagos and Vila do Bispo, and will be attended by, among others, the national municipal coordinator Pedro Alves and the district president Cristóvão Norte.

The meeting in Vila do Bispo takes place at the Retiro dos Pescadores restaurant and is scheduled for 13:00. The lunch-debate takes place after the visit to the EB1 of Vila do Bispo and the entrance to Sagres, «in undignified conditions».

At the end of the day, at 19 pm, the city of Lagos will host the initiative, at a working dinner scheduled for the Sete Mares restaurant, taking place after a visit to Hospital de Lagos.

Both agendas have seats limited to the capacity of the rooms, so militants and supporters interested in participating should contact the municipalities of Lagos and Vila do Bispo to purchase the ticket.

“Sentir Algarve” is an action by the PSD District Political Commission which undertakes to cover all the region's municipalities in six months.

The initiative takes place in parallel with the national meetings “Sentir Portugal” and has as main purposes “the preparation of the next municipal elections and the consultation of militancy in the face of the current political situation”.

«It is essentially a question of listening to consciences, keeping in mind the work that we want to do to win back the chambers and councils lost in previous years and, furthermore, the opposition that must be made to the ineffectiveness of the socialist government that, in little more than a year, it accounts for more political scandals than reproductive decision-making in order to overcome the serious problems that the country and the Algarve, in particular, are going through», says Cristóvão Norte.
