This Wednesday, December 7th, the directors of the Algarve School Groupings and Non-Grouped Schools paid homage to their colleagues, former directors, at a dinner at the Hotel Alísios, in Albufeira.
The organization was in charge of the three Groupings of Schools in the municipality of Albufeira.
According to the Directorate of Services for the Algarve Region of the General Directorate of School Establishments (DGEste), students of professional courses were «responsible for decorating the space, welcoming guests, table service, entertainment and photo reportage of the event».
The objective of this initiative was to highlight the competence, responsibility, commitment, dedication, spirit of mission and relevant services provided» by the former directors of the schools.
On the occasion, Alexandre Lima, Algarve Regional Education Delegate, took the opportunity to "thank, highlight and recognize the work carried out by all in the macro management of schools and for the way in which, selflessly, all have contributed and collaborated, over the years, ensuring , always for the common good of students, teaching and non-teaching staff and the entire school community».
The event was also attended by José Carlos Rolo, mayor of Albufeira, and Cláudia Guedelha, councilor responsible for Education.
