The Municipality of Portimão once again joins the international campaign “Pink October” with the aim of raising awareness of the prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer through a Solidarity Walk scheduled for 30 October.
Participants in the walk, scheduled for the National Day for the Prevention of Breast Cancer, can choose between the 5 and 8 kilometer route, starting at 10:00 am next to the Alvor Sports Complex, after a half-hour pre-heating.
The donation for registration has a minimum value of 5 euros and includes a t-shirt, water and insurance.
Anyone wishing to participate must register in person at the secretariat of the Pavilhão Gimnodesportivo de Portimão, from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 00 pm, by calling 20 00 282 / email [email protected]), or at the secretariat from the Alvor Sports Complex, from Monday to Friday, from 470 am to 813 pm (8 00 19 / [email protected] ).
The initiative results from the partnership established between the municipality of Portimão and the Southern Regional Nucleus of the Portuguese League Against Cancer, through the Vencer e Viver Movement, with the support of the community support team in palliative care of the ARS Health Centers Group.
