Open Day reveals the future nature reserve of Foz do Almargem and Trafal

Day culminates with an interpretive walk

The Municipality of Loulé promotes an “Open Day”, on the 16th of October, in Foz do Almargem and Trafal, with a series of activities that will make it possible to make known a space that will be part of the protected areas of the Planet, at a time when it is the process of creating the future Local Natural Reserve is already in the last phase.

In order to enhance the heritage in the classification process, this initiative involves thematic actions linked to the natural and cultural heritage that characterizes the area, in order to promote, disseminate and enhance this same territory.

The program starts with a moment of bird watching, at 9:00 am. At the same time, there is an activity to build nest boxes and a workshop on scientific illustration – graffiti.

In an area characterized by the richness of the avifauna, the organization proposes the action “A vida da chilreta!”.

With the support of Environment technicians from the Loulé Chamber, it will be possible to participate in “Bioblitz!”, an activity that aims to identify and survey the species found here.

This day culminates with an interpretive walk in which participants will have the opportunity to learn a little more about this territory and about “who” lives here.
