University of Évora fills 97% of vacancies in the 1st placement phase

UÉ maintained the growth trend of recent years in Bachelor and Integrated Masters

1272 new students were placed at the University of Évora (UÉ) through the National Access Contest (CNA) 2022/23, which means that 97% of the vacancies were filled in the 1st phase, thus maintaining the growth trend of recent years.

In this academic year, the UÉ made 1313 vacancies available, spread over 38 Bachelor's and Integrated Master's courses, with only five (5) not filling all the vacancies.

In the last three years, the number of students placed in the 1st phase at the University of Évora has been increasing, corresponding to an accumulated growth of 28% compared to 2019/2020.

These are “excellent results” says Hermínia Vasconcelos Vilar, dean of the University of Évora. These are numbers that prove, on the one hand, “the growing notoriety and recognition of the University of Évora” and that, on the other hand, “point to the viability and success of the strategies implemented, both in terms of teaching and scientific research”. and innovation. I am referring here to the commitment to the area of Health, with the Degree in Biomedical Sciences, which debuted this year and which filled all the vacancies, but also the commitment to areas where we have established and recognized skills”.

These are signs, reinforces the UÉ dean, “of the dynamics and installed capacity” of the institution she directs, “which is guided by the quality of teaching in all training cycles and by a transversal strategy, focused on the region and the community”. , but also attentive to the needs of the country. This positioning has resulted in multiple partnerships, local, national and international, both with the academic fabric and with the business fabric, without which, he acknowledges, “these results would not be possible”.

The recent approval of EU GREEN, the alliance of European universities recently approved and of which it is a part, is paradigmatic, as it creates a solid network at an international level, with obvious advantages for the local community.

In summary, the UÉ maintained the growth trend of the last few years in Licentiate and Integrated Masters. Adding to the results of the 1st phase of the CNA those placed through the remaining access routes (Older than 23, special regimes, local competition in Music and international students), it is estimated that the number of new students in the 1st cycle will exceed two thousand (2000) in this academic year 2022/23.

For the 2nd phase of the CNA, which takes place between the 12th and 23rd of September, all vacancies will be made available after enrollment.
