The play “Romeu e Romeu”, created, staged and performed by João de Brito and Nuno Preto, will take the stage at Cineteatro Louletano, in Loulé, tomorrow, September 29, at 21 pm.
«Starting from an idea of love from Shakespeare in his primordial work, “Romeo and Juliet”, Romeo and Romeo is a place of provocation, of provocations about inevitability», describes LAMA Teatro, which co-produces the show with Cineteatro Louletano, the Teatro das Figuras and the Vila Real Theater.
«It seems like a fatal word, just like the fate of Juliet and Romeo, but if this fatality did not exist, we would probably be talking about two other names, because such a fate is inevitable for it to be remembered. Or not?”, asks the Algarve theater company.
This is a show «created for all audiences, with the collaboration of all audiences, in a post-confinement process, clearly touched by the new concept of masquerade ball».
Tickets cost 8 euros and can be purchased online. Admission is free for children up to 12 years old, people with specific needs and holders of a senior card from the Municipality of Loulé (available only by collecting a ticket at the physical ticket office).
This show has AD – Audio Description services, for people with visual impairments.
