Runners and hikers are being invited to participate in the Night Tri Run Lagoa, on the 24th of September, an event that, in addition to promoting sports, also serves to «mark the end of summer and the season of harvests with a sports, wine and tourist programme'.
This race will have two aspects, one for walking, with 5 kilometers, and another for running, with 10 kilometers and will cover «the most emblematic and historic areas of Lagoa», according to NTREvents, which organizes the race with the support of the Municipality of Lagoa. and the Algarve Athletics Association.
After crossing the finish line, located at FATACIL – Fair of Crafts, Tourism, Agriculture, Commerce and Industry of Lagoa, the athletes will be invited to taste «a glass of local wine».
«For the Municipality of Lagoa and for the partner entities Vinhos de Portugal, Única – Cooperativa do Algarve and the Algarve Winery Commission, this project has everything to meet the sporting aspirations in synergy with the wine and tourism principles, keeping the focus on a organization of excellence, further enhancing the resources that the city of Lagoa has to offer», according to the organizers of the event.
Registration for the walk and run, which can be done through this link, includes «participation, t-shirt, medal, dorsal, supplies and personal accident insurance. Only the race will be entitled to a chip and respective classification».
