The Portuguese Red Cross and Lagos City Council are jointly promoting the crowdfunding solidarity action “For Ukraine. Around the world”, which aims to raise funds for the Portuguese Red Cross Emergency Fund, to help the collateral victims of the wars.
“The objective is to support war refugees from all parts of the planet. Through the slogan “Our greatest attribute is people”, Lagos decided, this year, to join forces with the Red Cross to develop an awareness campaign focused on the importance of human value that, telling the story of eight local protagonists of different nationalities, reinforces the solidarity aspect of the municipality, going beyond its natural attributes», according to the Lacobrigense Chamber.
The campaign is composed for a main video, together with eight short videos with the stories of eight citizens of Lagos, testimonies that will be released weekly over the next few months.
The initiative also includes a national digital campaign, presence in the media and in offline supports, such as billboards, billboards, among others.
«The main objective is to make the Portuguese population and companies aware of the urgent need to support those who support the most and have been at the forefront of various conflicts: the Red Cross. Another of the purposes of the campaign is to demonstrate that Lagos, in addition to being a municipality recognized for its history, tourist facilities and ability to integrate new communities, can contribute to increasing humanitarian aid to those around the world who live in emergency situations. extreme", he concludes.
