A 39-year-old man who was detained by citizens who caught him stealing a catalytic converter, in Quarteira, was detained by the GNR yesterday, August 16th.
Military guards responded to a report of theft in a vehicle and, when they arrived at the scene, detained the suspect, “who had been held back by citizens who had seen the crime”.
In the ensuing investigation, the GNR discovered that the suspect “had previously stolen a catalytic converter from a vehicle, on the EN 125, which was seized”.
The detainee was present today for the first interrogation at the Loulé Judicial Court.
