An enclosure with 51 thousand square meters, nine stages and 45 concerts is what can be expected from the 7th edition of Festival F, which now returns to the usual molds, after two years marked by the restrictions of the pandemic.

Although there are some novelties – such as an enclosure with more than 10 thousand square meters, a new stage, a fair area and the opening of the Fábrica da Cerveja – the festival maintains its identity and, for Vasco Sacramento, programmer of Festival F, this It's the best news there can be.

“We will go back to doing what we did until the pandemic and that is the best news right now. The world has changed a lot in these three years and, in a way, we are going to test how people react to a proposal similar to what was done until the pandemic", he told journalists at poster presentation which took place this Wednesday, July 20, at the end of the afternoon, on the terrace of the Capitólio, in Lisbon.

"The idea this year is to celebrate what we've always done and, in some way, to miss the F Festival audience that people know, after two years in which there was a replacement", he continued.

Rogério Bacalhau, President of the City Council of Faro, was also very happy with this return.

«It is a great joy to be able to reorganize and bring Festival F to Vila Adentro, after two years in which it did not happen in the usual way. During this period, Faro it was, in fact, one of the municipalities that most persisted in helping the cultural sector, having always made a point of adapting to the demands of each moment so that F, Portuguese culture and music never lost their space. This year, we are happy to be able to celebrate Festival F again as we know it and look forward to it, in Faro, on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of September, with the best Portuguese music», said the mayor.

Regarding the new spaces, Paulo Santos, vice-president of the Chamber of Faro, stressed that they were created for the comfort of visitors.

«With great pleasure we managed to return to one of the first stages of the F, which is the Quintalão stage, next to the Castle. With this wrapping of the wall in the enclosure, we also created that very comfortable and friendly area of grass next to the wall and there we thought that a more popular and convivial concept made sense – the F fair”, he reveals.

Regarding the poster, Vasco Sacramento, programmer of the festival and CEO of Sons em Trânsito, emphasizes that the choices are intended to «trace an X-ray of what Portuguese music is» in a «wide and diversified» offer.

«This year, we tried to reflect what is the multicultural, cosmopolitan and universalist matrix of our country: a country increasingly open to other cultures and to an increasingly closer relationship with our roots, but also with the influences of other countries Portuguese speakers", he said.

«Trying to reflect that diversity in this year's lineup was one of our main concerns», he concluded.

Dino D'Santiago, Bárbara Bandeira, Agir, José Cid with Orquestra Clássica do Sul, Miguel Araújo, Irma, Richie Campbell, The Black Mamba, HMB, Luís Trigacheiro, Wet Bed Gang, Milhanas, Rita Rocha and Danni Gato are some of the poster names.
