“Menina estás à Janela” begins with Moçoilas and ends with a party at Fábrica da Cerveja

“Menina Estás à Janela” is back at the windows of Faro this Saturday, June 4

The “Menina estás à Janela” returns this Saturday, June 4, to the streets of Faro, with a program that starts with a concert by the Moçoilas and ends at Fábrica da Cerveja, with various initiatives.  

after your debut in 2019, from online edition in 2020, and the success of return to live format in 2021, this event, organized by the Professional Course of Events Organization of the Pinheiro e Rosa Secondary School, in Faro, is back.

O “Girl you are at the window” is an initiative that consists of a pedestrian path along which the windows and balconies of several buildings in the Algarve capital serve as a stage for artists from the most varied areas of the arts and spectacle.

The event's lineup is different every year, but this time the course wanted to go further and planned a program that extends into the evening.

«This year, the big difference is that we also have a night period, with events centered on Fábrica da Cerveja. In addition, there are several performing arts that we hadn't had before and a great fusion of arts», says Vera Pinheiro, director of the Professional Event Organization course at Escola Secundária Pinheiro e Rosa Sul Informação. 

 

 

In the teacher's opinion, this is a very important event «for students to acquire knowledge on the ground», but also to «bring people to the city who can enjoy a different morning or evening».

Nicole Milhinhos, a second-year student of the Professional Events Organization Course (corresponding to the 11th year), is part of the organization for the second consecutive time and highlights the importance of the event for her school career.

«I think we can get a lot out of “Menina estás à Janela” because we learn how to deal with the public, we also learn how to be on the ground and we gain qualities that, inside a classroom, we could not gain», he emphasizes when Sul Informação.

 

 

«This is also a very important event to bring culture to Faro and show the new generations what culture is capable of doing», adds the student from Escola Secundária Pinheiro e Rosa.

This year, the event starts at 10:00 am, at Janela do Sardinha de Papel (shop in Bixa de Faro), with a concert by the Moçoilas. Throughout the morning, there are 12 windows that will open all over the city.

At night, the performances begin at 21:30 pm, at the Bandstand, passing through the window of the former Civil Government and heading to Fábrica da Cerveja, where the event will extend into the night, with eight performances.

The event is open to everyone and to watch the shows just go to the respective windows at the appointed time.
