In confinement, the “girl” stands at the window, but on the street there is no one to see her talents. So, she records a video and posts it on social media. This is the proposal of the Pinheiro e Rosa Secondary School, from Faro, which, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, will start publishing videos of artists and anonymous citizens singing, declaiming poetry, acting or painting, from their windows.
The videos will be published here, from this 7th of April, from Monday to Friday, always at 17:00.
“Menina estás à Janela” is an event organized by the professional course of Event Organization at Escola Secundária Pinheiro e Rosa.
Last year, it had its first edition, which consisted of «a pedestrian route, in which the windows and balconies of various buildings of recognized architectural and historical value served as a stage for some artists».
"Given the success of the first edition, we decided to keep the event, but adjusted to the current situation in which we live, inspired by the images that have emerged in the media about how windows have been used as a cultural and social manifestation." explains the school.
Then came «the idea of inviting the whole community to make their window their stage and send us to the page girl are you at the window, or via email [email protected], your video declaiming a poem, singing, making a small interpretation, painting, or others».
As Moçoilas, actor and director Paulo Moreira, actor Rui Jorge Moreira, Anabela Afonso, curator of 365Algarve, the band Galopim, poet Rogério Cão, te.Atrito, Casa das Virtudes, Associação Amarelarte, Margarida Correia, president from União de Freguesias de Querença, Tôr and Benafim, bassist Paulo Matos da Silva, poet Ana Margarida Borges, musician Jorge da Rocha and storyteller Fernando Guerreiro are some of the names that have already confirmed their participation in this initiative.
