Infraquinta signs declaration for climate change mitigation in water services

“Declaration of Commitment for Adaptation and Mitigation of Climate Change in Water Services” was signed this Wednesday

Infraquinta signed this Wednesday, June 1st, the “Declaration of Commitment for Adaptation and Mitigation of the Climate Change in Water Services”. 

The public session, aimed at Municipalities and Management Entities in the south of the country, took place at the Companheira WWTP, in Portimão.

«Prepared by the Specialized Commission for Adaptation to Climate Change of the APDA, this declaration aims to confirm the intention of all stakeholders in the sector to act consciously and efficiently in the face of what is currently the greatest challenge that water services face» , says Infraquinta in a statement.

The session was led by Isabel Soares, vice-president of Águas do Algarve, J. Henrique Salgado Zenha, vice-president of APDA, and Marisa Viriato, member of the Specialized Committee on Adaptation to Climate Change at APDA.

Infraquinta thus joins the various entities that have already signed this declaration of commitment.
