Aljezur marked Children's Day with book presentation and film screening

Presentation of the book was made by the authors and illustrator

In Aljezur, Children's Day was celebrated greatly, with book presentations and film screenings. 

This year, students from 1st to 9th grade received the book “Mistério no Fundo do Mar”, an adventure story set in the town of Carrapateira, about the Spanish navy ship “La Condesa” that sank there in 1555.

The presentation of the book by the authors, Ana Valente and Isabel Moiçó, and the illustrator, Paulo Silva, took place at the Museum of the Sea and the Land and in the auditorium of the Agrupamento de Escolas Professora Piedade Matoso, Aljezur.

«As well as contributing to the creation of reading habits, this was a happy opportunity to make the history and richness of Aljezur's heritage known to young people, which the municipality decided to highlight on this date», emphasizes the Aljezur City Council in communicated.

All 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle students received a copy of the book “Mistério no Fundo do Mar”. The preschool students received a copy of the book “O Monstro das Cores” (The Color Monster).

Over the last week, the children and young people of the county also had the opportunity to watch the exhibition of animated films from the Indie Festival, which for the third time holds the Indie Júnior extension and the second extension of Indie Lisboa in Aljezur.
