Lagos promotes training actions on the agricultural sector

The agricultural sector is taught through workshops in Lagos

The Lagos Chamber will promote, in April and May, training actions in specific areas of the agricultural sector.

The “Composting Workshop” starts this Saturday, April 9, at 10:00 am, in the Social Gardens of Lagos, in collaboration with Associação In Loco and with Ana Arsénio as a facilitator.

On the 18th of April and 2nd of May, at 10:00 am, and by the same entity, the workshop to be held in Horta do Vale da Lama, in Odiáxere, will be dedicated to organic farming, covering topics such as garden planning and fertilization, propagation of plants and technical aspects of the agricultural crops to be installed and the protection of horticultural crops.

On the 14th of April, 12th and 26th of May, at 15:30 pm, in the Auditorium Paços do Concelho Séc. XXI, “Regenerative Agriculture” will be addressed, a collaborative initiative with Food4Sustainability.

Participants will have the opportunity to watch the broadcast of webinars on this area, related to the following topics: the definition of regenerative agriculture on 14 April, regenerative agriculture in practice and the realities of the European Union and Portugal on 12 May, and preparation for regenerative agriculture on 26 May .

«The workshops come from the Viv'o Mercado initiative, a weekly market that takes place on Wednesday afternoons in the former Lagos Preparatory Cycle, which includes local producers, not only of agricultural goods, but also of regional products, sweets and handicrafts. . The training actions will be aimed at these producers, at the users of the social gardens in Lagos, but also at the community in general”, says the municipality.

The trainings are free, but require mandatory registration through the online form: Composting Workshop, Organic Agriculture Workshop e Regenerative Agriculture Seminars.
