Lagos has prepared «some surprises» to show at the Lisbon Tourism Exchange

Fair takes place at the end of this week

The Lagos Chamber has prepared «some surprises» to show at the Lisbon Tourism Board, the main fair in the sector in Portugal, which will take place again between the 16th and 20th of March at the Lisbon International Fair (FIL), at the Parque das Nações, after two years of interregnum due to the pandemic.

The municipality of Lacobrigensia, like the other Algarve Chambers, will have a stand in the pavilion of Turismo do Algarve/Região de Turismo do Algarve, «which has as a novelty a more modernized space and the focus on industrial tourism to promote the main tourist destination country", according to the Lagos Chamber.

The Algarve space «will have 700 square meters where, in addition to representing the Algarve municipalities, eighteen hotels and tour operators will also be present. To make the environment more welcoming and technological, the space will have an interactive table with representation of the sixteen municipalities and a device with holographic effects.

The local authority also has «some surprises prepared to stand out as a tourist destination of excellence».

In addition to all the material to promote its various valences in terms of sun and beach, nature, heritage, history, gastronomy, culture and arts, visitors will have the opportunity to attend three presentations of projects in the municipality.

On the 17th, at 18:00 pm, the Lagos Nautical Station will be the main protagonist of a session that will feature the award-winning surfer Alex Botelho. On the 18th, at 19:00 pm, the book “Baía de Lagos – Comida do Mar” will be presented, an edition of the Municipality of Lagos by Patrícia Borges (text) and Nicolas Lemonnier (photography), «with a tasting of oysters by Oyster Select Algarve».

On the 19th, the presentation of the 33rd edition of the Feira Concurso Arte Doce takes place, «one of the great events in Lagos that returns this year with more days (27th to 31st of July), more concerts, a wider space, crafts, taverns and, of course, , many regional sweets. To sweeten the mouths of visitors, there will be a tasting of tasty regional products».
