Marta Gago and Lara Martins called up again for the U-17 Women's National Team

At stake is the passage to the final phase of the European Championship, which will take place in May in Bosnia-Herzegovina

The Algarve athletes Marta Gago, 16 years old, and Lara Martins, 15 years old, were summoned by the national coach Marisa Gomes for the Elite Round of access to the UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship in Football.

The concentration of the Equipe das Quinas takes place this Monday, March 7, in Cidade do Futebol, where the team will train until the 12th.

The following day, the national delegation leaves for the District of Viseu where the games will be played. Between March 16 and 22, Portugal will face Italy, Montenegro and the Netherlands, in Group 7 of League A.

The group winners of this round will advance to the finals of the European Championship, which will take place from May 3 to 15, in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The team that comes in 4th place will be relegated to League B.

The athletes from the Algarve were also chosen for the first round, which took place in the Algarve in November, in which Portugal ensured the passage to the Elite Round.
