Autodromo received pre-season tests from World Superbike drivers

From the 7th to the 9th of October, the Superbike World Championship will be held at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve

The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA), in Portimão, hosted, on the 7th and 8th of February, the pre-season tests of some teams of the Superbike World Championship.

The roars of the motorcycles «were heard a little everywhere and there was even the right to the public, since the Algarve circuit opened its doors for free», says the AIA.

Toprak Razgatlioglu, current champion, and Jonathan Rea had a close dispute, but the first day of testing was even marked by the lead of the six-time champion Rea (Kawasaki) with the fastest lap of 1 minute and 40 seconds, having surpassed Toprak (Pata Yamaha) for 0,101 seconds.

On the last day, the consecrated champion Toprak Razgatlioglu managed to improve his time and close the days spent in Portimão with the fastest lap on the track of 1:39.616s.

Rea didn't let go and also saw his time improved (1:39.851s) and Álvaro Bautista, current rider of the Aruba.it Racing Ducati Team and former MotoGP rider, had the third fastest time of the two days of testing.

From the 7th to the 9th of October, the Superbike World Championship will be held at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.
