The activity “Ciclo da Laranja”, dedicated to pre-school children, will take place, between March 2 and May 27, at Parque Lúdico de Albufeira.
This activity marks the resumption of scientific activities that the Municipality of Albufeira usually organizes in this facility, developed in a playful-pedagogical way, «with the aim of contributing to the integral development of children by promoting experiences based on their manifestation of interests'.
The method, explains the municipality, “is to stimulate their ability to learn, respecting the time, rhythm, personality, freedom and individuality of each child”.
«Because we believe that “A Brincar is also learned”, the little ones have the possibility to get to know more about the region where they live, the balanced use of natural resources and local production, especially the tasty Algarve orange», highlights the Albufeira Chamber.
The program includes activities such as Story Time, Tell and Retell, the construction of the 3D puzzle “From the seed to the plant”, squeezing oranges and drinking their juice, making orange cookies, making oranges in plasticine and painting a mural .
At the end, a photograph will be taken and placed on the “Tree of Gratitude” – “an orange tree, purpose-built for this activity, and a second photo will be taken to school so that all children can later remember the experience”.
