Gastão Nunes, journalist for Rádio Renascença in the Algarve, has died

Funeral ceremonies should take place on Tuesday, at the Igreja Matriz and at the Moncarapacho cemetery.

Journalist Gastão Costa Nunes, correspondent for Rádio Renascença in the Algarve, died this Friday, the 21st, of illness, at the Hospital de Faro, where he had been hospitalized since January 5th.

Born in Angola, Gastão Costa Nunes settled in the municipality of Olhão, currently residing in Bias do Norte.

After having passed through several local radio stations in the Algarve, namely Rádio Restauração, from Olhão, he started his collaboration with Grupo Renascença Multimédia in 2000, informs Renascença on its website.

Gastão Costa Nunes leaves a wife and a daughter.

The funeral ceremonies will take place on Tuesday, in the Igreja Matriz and in the cemetery of Moncarapacho.

The Sul Informação, who often worked side by side with Gastão and was the target of his generosity, offers his most sincere condolences to his family.
