Frontal Shock returns to TIME with Plasticine, Yuca and The Mirandas

Entries are always free

Plasticine, Yuca and The Mirandas are the next guests of “Choque Frontal ao Vivo”, on January 20th, February 17th and March 17th, always at 21 pm, at the Teatro Municipal de Portimão (TEMPO).

With the beginning of the year, the recordings of this Alvor FM radio show presented several years ago by Ricardo Coelho and Júlio Ferreira are also back.

The first quarter of 2022 will feature the installments of Plasticine (January 20), Yuca (February 17) and The Mirandas (March 17).

Plasticine, who will perform on the 20th of this month, define themselves as a musical collective with varied influences, from soul to afro-beat, passing through rock, pop, R&B, jazz, world music and fusion.

Invitations for this first live recording of the year can now be picked up at the TEMPO box office.

Next, on the 17th of February, the soul singer Yuca, who participated in RTP's “Got Talent” program and who in recent years has released themes that emphasize the traces of African-American sounds.

Finally, on March 17, it will be the turn of the trio The Mirandas, created in 2013 and driven by the love of its actors for the blues and rock of the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Between sharing and talking, and always with a glass of wine as the fourth element, Inês Miranda, Ivo Ferreira and Luís Caracinha began to exorcise frustrations, sadness and melancholy with their instruments, often in the sound company of artists such as Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker , Johnny Cash, Johnny Winter or Jimmy Hendrix.

This trio was later joined by Ruben Azevedo on drums and Gabriel Costa on keyboards, forming a quintet with some local notoriety, which catapulted the band to perform in events such as Festival MED, Festival Internacional de Blues and Festival F.
